Jordan Smith - European Tour Golfer
Jordan Smith is one of the world's most promising golfers.
Since turning professional in 2015 Jordan has tracked a stellar rise through the world golf rankings. From 706th in the world in 2015 to 77th in the official world golf rankings as the 2017 season drew to a close. Securing a coveted place at the World Tour Championships, the pinnacle of the Race to Dubai in November 2017.
Sport science and physiotherapy support
Since 2015 Rob Hobkinson of Peak Golf Performance has worked closely with Jordan. Rob is responsible for ensuring that Jordan Smith is in peak physical condition to meet both the demands of the intensive European Tour schedule, and the demands of the game of golf itself. He works to ensure that Jordan's physical capabilities are maximised, giving player and coach a sound physical platform to develop his game and his technique unimpeded.
As part of his role in Team Smithy, Rob develops phased strength and conditioning programmes; provides consistent support during gym training; undertakes ongoing diet planning and works to develop and execute team preparation strategies. This work is based on a foundation of statistics and scientific analysis, following biomechanical and physiological testing.
MATT WALLACE - EUROPEAN TOUR GOLFER
Rob Hobkinson began working Matt Wallace in early 2018, at which point his official golf world ranking was around 150. In just 6 short months Matt rose to 52nd in the world ; securing an incredible 3 European Tour titles on the way - including Made in Denmark 2018; BMW International Open 2018 and Hero Indian Open 2018.
Matt is currently 25th in the OWGR, with sights firmly set on the top. Goals being winning the R2D 2019 and achieving an OWGR of 10th in the world.
Rob works closely with Matt both on tour and at home to drive his physical fitness through strength and conditioning, physiotherapy and sport science support. The aim being to ensure that Matt is in the best physical shape to handle the significant demands of the European Tour schedule, and to do what it takes physically to win on the course.
