Rob Hobkinson - Director
PGA, BSc [Sport Ex Sci], MSc [Physio], MSCP, HCPC
Peak Golf Performance is led by Rob Hobkinson, a PGA Professional, Sport and Exercise Science graduate, Chartered Physiotherapist, registered Health Care Professional and Member of the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) with 20 years' experience of working with golfers.
Rob started his career as a PGA Professional; moving to specialise in the biomechanics and physiology of golf through a degree Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Metropolitan University. He is a Chartered Physiotherapist and member of the UKSCA working across a range of sports, but with a clear specialism in golf.
Frustrated by the almost complete focus on technique often taken at the expense of fitness, health and physical capability; as well as the apparent lack of objectivity around swing assessment and performance development, Rob set up Peak Golf Performance (PGP) to help golfers take a more forward-thinking approach. PGP gives elite professional golfers access to an holistic service which includes: objective analysis of their physiology along with identification of key strengths and limitations. This is followed up with bespoke golf fitness programmes, treatment options and performance plans to help golfers unlock the full potential of their bodies and their game.
